Motion Detectors
The motion detector are a layer of protection working inside the walls of your property. The motion detector senses movement and triggers the alarm to go off.
With motion detectors installed if the intruder is able to make it past the external security measures the alarm will go off when they pass in front of the sensor. Motion detectors cover most of the area of a room creating a broad detection area.
Motion detectors are installed in areas where intruders are likely to be forced to pass through on their way in or out of the property.
Pets
Probably the most frequently asked question about motion detectors is "will my pet set it off?" For most pets the answer is no. Most motion detectors will not be triggered by pets weighing less than about 60 pounds. Unless your kitty cat is a white tiger or your dog is a large breed then you should be fine. If you do have large animals in your home consult with one of our security experts to design a custom system for your needs.
