Criminals become criminals because they are looking for the easy way. The first thing to do is make your property look like it will be hard to get.

• Putting the alarm company sign in plain sight for anyone walking by to see lets the criminals know that trying to break into your house will get people attention and the police will be coming.
• Close your doors and windows. Criminals love when you leave open doors and windows because they can just walk right in and grab what they want with out making a lot of noise or drawing attention to them selves.
• Keep up with your yard work. Overgrown bushes and shrubs provide cover for the would be robber by blocking the view of what they are doing from the street and your neighbors.
